When Intended Parents work with Identified Embryo Donors, they are taking an important step for which their child will likely thank them in the future. Donor conceived people consistently report that they want and need access to the embryo donors who made their life possible. It helps them form their own identities when they have access to more information about themselves.

When clients pursue a pregnancy with donated embryos, the Recipient Intended Parents and their attorney, and the Donor Intended Parents and their attorney, will work together to create an Embryo Donation Agreement.

Negotiating this Agreement gives them a chance to consider and make plans for circumstances they may not have considered.  It also gives them a chance to make sure they have shared values around the plans for any embryos that the Recipients don’t need to grow their family.”
